Swissbit at electronica 2026: Industrial Storage for AI and Beyond

Bronschhofen, Switzerland, 13 October 2026 – At electronica 2026, taking place from November 10–13 in Munich, Swissbit will demonstrate at booth C6.261 how its expertise in industrial storage addresses the growing requirements of AI infrastructure, supports customers with technology migration and continuously advances modern storage interfaces.

AI is fundamentally reshaping the global memory market and making reliable industrial storage more strategic than ever. While HBM and high-end NAND are central to powerful AI computing architectures, industrial-grade Flash storage is an essential part of the underlying infrastructure, supporting boot and management functions, firmware, configuration data, logging and edge systems.

With 25 years of experience in industrial storage solutions, extensive in-house development expertise and its own manufacturing operations in Germany, Swissbit addresses these requirements with solutions designed for reliable, long-term industrial use. At its Berlin site, development, firmware expertise, advanced packaging, industrial manufacturing, testing and qualification are closely integrated, providing a high degree of control over quality, supply capability and product lifecycles.

Managing change in the Flash market

At the same time, AI-driven demand is accelerating structural changes in the Flash market. Legacy NAND technologies such as SLC and MLC are increasingly coming under pressure or being phased out, while many industrial applications continue to depend on long product lifecycles, established interfaces and stable technology platforms. Migration planning and long-term availability are therefore becoming increasingly strategic considerations for industrial customers.

Swissbit supports customers through this transition with migration-oriented solutions for established form factors, including SD and microSD cards as well as eMMC. Another example is the continuous expansion of its BiCS5-based portfolio across SATA, CFast, CompactFlash and USB. Efficient single-channel architectures enable solutions for applications with lower capacity requirements, while optional pSLC configurations provide higher endurance for write-intensive use cases. This allows endurance, performance, capacity and cost to be flexibly matched to the specific application.

Advancing Industrial PCIe Storage

Alongside its continued long-term support for established interfaces, Swissbit is continuously advancing its portfolio for modern, high-performance architectures such as PCIe. The N7000 and A2000 series are examples of this ongoing development, bringing Swissbit’s expertise to demanding applications in embedded systems, edge computing and AI infrastructure. In-house development expertise and its own manufacturing operations enable Swissbit to combine performance innovation with the reliability, controlled product lifecycles and supply continuity required for industrial applications.
