Swissbit introduces F-75 CFast series for high-endurance industrial storage
03/02/2026
Bronschhofen, Switzerland, February 3, 2026 – CFast™ remains one of the most trusted storage form factors in industrial environments. Its SATA interface, mechanical resilience, and long-term availability continue to make it a top choice for automation, transportation, medical systems, and edge-computing devices. With the introduction of its new CFast series F-75 and F-78, Swissbit now provides the industry with a refreshed and future-proof option that combines 112-layer industrial-grade 3D TLC NAND, a DRAM cache, and a rugged design built for predictable, reliable operation.

The F-75 and F-78 share a common technical foundation: industrial-grade 3D NAND, extended temperature support, advanced power-fail protection, end-to-end data path protection, and SRAM ECC. The F-75 uses TLC NAND and offers capacities up to 512 GB, making it suitable for read-intensive or mixed workloads such as PLC systems, HMI terminals, or edge gateways managing operating systems and configuration data. The F-78 employs pSLC technology with increased over-provisioning to provide maximum endurance for write-heavy applications, including sensor data loggers or predictive-maintenance systems.
Addressing endurance, integrity, and security challenges
Typical industrial workloads often involve continuous or irregular bursts of write activity that can strain storage endurance. Swissbit’s new CFast series mitigates this through its optimized combination of industrial NAND flash, DRAM caching, RAID mechanisms, and a TLC-direct operating mode ensuring consistent endurance characteristics.
Data integrity is reinforced through the cards’ end-to-end protection architecture, which safeguards data from host to NAND and reduces field failures caused by harsh operating conditions or sudden power loss. These capabilities are essential in advanced robotics systems using local storage for navigation algorithms or temporary image data for AI-based vision tasks, as well as in ruggedized computers that require reliable operation under extreme conditions.
In environments with elevated security requirements, such as medical equipment, industrial control systems, or avionics, aerospace, and other ruggedized platforms, the F-75 and F-78 series integrate AES-256 encryption, TCG Opal 2.0, Secure Boot, and Crypto Erase. All models are UL-certified, meeting safety criteria widely required in North American industrial markets.
Variants and availability
The new Swissbit CFast series are available immediately. The F-75 is offered in 32, 64, 128, 256, and 512 GB capacities using TLC. The F-78 is available in 32, 64, and 128 GB using pSLC technology for maximum endurance. Both series are specified for industrial use at operating temperatures from -40 °C to +85 °C.
