Rethinking Data Center SSDs in context of real-world workloads and TCO.

Data Centers act as the backbone of cloud computing applications. One key element contributing to a seamless experience is Data Center storage. Some organizations may run applications that do not place high demands on storage performance; these systems may be fine with commodity SSDs.

However, organizations that are stressing their storage systems utilizing applications, including virtual machines, AI and machine learning or edge applications, are probably using SSDs that are not optimized for their environments. A radical approach to improve performance, latency, and endurance over the lifetime of the SSD, and thus quality of service and TCO, is commercially available now.
