REINER SCT is entering into a strategic partnership with Swissbit. As part of the cooperation, REINER SCT will distribute the security keys of the Swissbit iShield Key family in the future. In addition, the digital security expert is adding the REINER SCT FIDO Stick Pro, developed and produced by Swissbit, the first FIDO2 security key of its own, to its portfolio. The cooperation aims to promote the spread of FIDO technology as a phishing-resistant authentication method and to make it accessible to an even broader customer base.

MTRIX GmbH, one of the leading experts for professional authentication solutions in the DACH region, and Swissbit have entered into a sales partnership. Effective immediately, MTRIX is expanding its product portfolio to include the FIDO2 security keys from Swissbit’s iShield Key product family. In addition, MTRIX will be the first distribution partner to sell the latest innovation in Swissbit authentication solutions – the iShield Key MIFARE, which will be launched shortly.

Swissbit is proud to participate for the first time in Identity Week America 2024, held September 11–12 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. We will showcase our innovative iShield Key authenticators, highlighting the critical role of phishing-resistant hardware security keys in an era of exponential increases in credential exposures and data breaches. Swissbit will also be actively involved in the conference program, with IAM technologist Chris Collier participating in three sessions.

Swissbit introduces its first PCIe Gen5 SSD with the launch of the D2200 series. Designed for enterprise servers and edge data centers, this series offers outstanding performance with up to 14 GB/s for sequential read and 10 GB/s for sequential write. The new SSD also excels in energy efficiency, delivering a sequential read performance of up to 970 MB/s per watt. The D2200 will be available in U.2 and E1.S form factors with storage capacities of 8 TB and 16 TB in late August.

Swissbit is proud to participate for the first time in the prestigious Identiverse event taking place from May 28 to May 31, 2024, in Las Vegas. With its conference and exhibition, this important industry event marks a significant milestone for Swissbit as it introduces to the community its cutting-edge iShield Key product series, thereby emphasizing the importance of robust hardware-based authentication in today’s digital age.

Swissbit is expanding its portfolio of hardware-based security keys with the new iShield Key Pro featuring a USB-C interface. Like its USB-A counterpart, the new model supports the FIDO2 standard as well as the PIV, HOTP and TOTP security protocols. The iShield Key Pro can also be used for physical access control applications, making it one of the most flexible security keys. It is also suitable for implementing security guidelines such as NIS-2, which requires multifactor authentication (MFA) in connection with IT systems for access control.

Secure data retention for police agencies and government authorities

For the first time, Swissbit will be represented at the General Police Equipment Exhibition & Conference (GPEC) to be held from May 6 to 8, 2024 in Leipzig, Germany. GPEC is the largest closed-to-the-public special event for police and other security agencies in Europe. Swissbit will present its innovative iShield Archive solution in Hall 2 at Booth J41. The microSD card was developed especially for the secure retention of video and image recordings, making it ideal for use by police agencies, government authorities, and other organizations.

Swissbit will present selected innovations and product highlights at the Embedded World 2024 trade fair in Nuremberg, Germany (April 9-11, Booth 1-543). In the memory segment, Swissbit will focus on its PCIe high-performance portfolio, including the N5200 SSD, which stands out with its industry leading IOPS per watt ratio, as well as on versatile embedded solutions for industrial and IoT applications. In the security segment, Swissbit will showcase its new iShield Key Pro with USB-C as well as CmReady-certified memory cards for efficient license protection.
